To answer this problem, we use the Pythagorean Theorem, which is a^2 +b^2 = c^2

Now plug in the values. The hypotenuse is "c" while "a" and "b" are the sides.

So....

a^2 +b^2 = c^2
(25)^2 + b^2 = (73)^2
625 + b^2 = 5329
b^2 = 5329 - 625
b^2 = 4704
{ At this point we will take the square root of both sides of the equation so we can get b alone}
b^2 = 4704
b = 68.5857

The problem say round to the nearest hundredth so,
b = 68.59
