Question 451000: Divide and Simplify: (t-3)/(t+2)÷(4t-12)/(t+1)
Thanks
(can you show your work... so I can try and grasp the concept.) Found 2 solutions by solver15, algebrahouse.com:Answer by solver15(27) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! all you have to do is to flip (t-3)/(t+2)÷(4t-12)/(t+1)
so your equation will be (t-3)/(t+2).(t+1)/(4t-12)
factor out 4 from this equation(4t-12)
so your new equation will be (t-3)/(t+2)(t+1)4(t-3)
and so (t-3) and (t-3) cancles and so you are left with
(t+1)/4(t+2) and that is your answer:)
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(t - 3)/(t + 2) ÷ (4t - 12)/(t + 1)
= (t - 3)/(t + 2) x (t + 1)/4(t - 3) {multiplied by reciprocal and factored 4 out of 4t - 12}
(t - 3)(t + 1)
--------------- {wrote as one fraction to help you visualize it}
4(t + 2)(t - 3)
