Question 449613: The letters A, B, C, D, E, and F are written on cards. One card is selected at random and then replaced. A second card is then selected. What is the probability that the letter C is NOT drawn both times?
I got 5/6 but don't you have to add it or multiply since a card was drawn both times? Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! "...Not drawn both times" means that it could be drawn once or not at all.
Probability of being drawn both times is (1/6)^2 = 1/36
1 - 1/36 = 35/36 the probability that the letter C is NOT drawn both times.
