How do I solve the following identity: tan(x+pie/4)=1+tanx/1-tanx
..
tan(x+pie/4)=1+tanx/1-tanx
start from the left side
using addition formula for tan: tan(s+t)=(tan s+tan t)/(1-tan s tan t)
tan π/4=1
tan(x+π/4)=(tan x+tan π/4)/(1-tan x tan π/4)
=tan x+1/1-tan x
=1+tanx/1-tanx
ans: left side=right side
