I now know the answer is from 60/x + 60/2x = 1
But I do not know how they got this equation/formula.
I do not understand why the 60 is in the numerator and not the demonimator. My way of thinking is that each guy cleaning should have his "X" over 60 and not the other way around. And I do not see why the 60 is added to 60. It is kind of like saying it takes 2 hours to clean a room (120 Minutes). Answer by jorel1380(3719) (Show Source):

60+120=x
x=180
Your brother takes 180 minutes to clean a room. You take 90 minutes to clean a room..
