i would like the steps in there i mean i get that it's:
(27^1/3)^2 but i do not get the steps and the answer..also i would like some help with negative ones too like:
27^-2/3
and the steps its sooo confusing!! and to explain it more because my math teacher wont tell me...thankyou!! (: Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 27^2/3
----
Exponents are instructions.
---
The "2" in the numerator means "square".
---
The "3" in the denominator means "take the cube root".
---
You may carry out the instructions in either order.
---
It's usually better to take the root first as tha way
you will be squaring a smaller number.
---
So, 27^(2/3)
1st: take the cube root of 27 to get:
3^2
2nd: square to get:
9
-------------------------
If you did it in reverse order:
1st: square to get
729^(1/3)
2nd: take the cube root of 729 to get:
9

Hope this helps.
