perimeter=2(l+b)=104 inches
l+b=52 inches


let ratio of l:b=8:5
then l=8x and b=5x


then 8x+5x=52
13x=52
x=4


l=8x=32"
b=5x=20"


hence it should have dimensions of: 32 inches by 20 inches
