You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
log 4 (x ^2 -3) + log 4 10=1
log 4 10(x ^2 -3) =1
10(x ^2 -3) = 4^1
10x^2 -30 = 4
10x^2 = 34
x^2 = 3.4
x = sqrt(3.4)
x = {-1.84, 1.84}
throw out the negative solution (extraneous) leaving:
x = 1.84
