given that P(A) = 0.3 and P(B) = 0.9, and P(A and B) = 0.18, determine P(B|A).
a) 0.30
b) 0.60
c) 0.15
d) 0.20 Answer by ewatrrr(24785) (Show Source):
Hi,
Note: P(A|B) = P(A and B)/P(B) |P(A|B)read Probability of A, given B occurred
P(A) = 0.3 and P(B) = 0.9
P(A and B) = P(A)*P(B)
In this example:
P(A and B)= .3*.9 = 0.18
P(A|B) = .18/.9 = .2
