= 2/x + 4(x)/1(x) >> (4x + 2)/x [FACTOR 4x + 2, you get 2(2x + 1)/x

= x (2)/4(2) + 1/8 (2x + 1)/8
= DIVIDE 2(2x + 1)/x by (2x + 1 )/8
[MULTIPLY THE FIRST TERM WIH THE INVERSE OF THE SECOND TERM]
= (2(2x + 1 )/x)(8/(2x +1) **Both (2x + 1) cancelled each other out
= (2)(8)/x
= 16/x
