Question 444274: I did solve this problem but I am not sure if it is correct?
This math problem was like this
I(x-4)/3I - 2 > 4
Is absolute value of (x-4)/3 = x/3 + 4/3 if this is correct than
x/3 + 4/3 -2 >4
x/3 > 4+2-4/3
x/3 > 18/3 - 4/3
x > (14/3)/3
x > 1.56
Please let me know if this is right. Thank you very much for your help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I did solve this problem but I am not sure if it is correct?
This math problem was like this
**
|(x-4)/3| - 2 > 4
|(x-4)/3| > 6
solve for (x-4)/3>0
(x-4)/3>6
x-4>18
x>22
..
solve for (x-4)/3<0
-(x-4)/3>6
-x+4>18
-x>14
multiply by -1 and reverse inequality sign
x<-14
ans
x>22 or x<-14
(-∞,-14) U (22, ∞)
