First get it into the form
+y+=+mx+%2B+b+
where m = slope and b = y-intercept
+-3x+%2B+y+=+5+
Add 3x to both sides
+y+=+3x+%2B+5+
slope = 3
y-intercept = 5
The x-intercept is where y+=+0, so
+0+=+3x+%2B+5+
+3x+=+-5+
+x+=+-5%2F3+
So, now you have 2 points, (0,5), (-5/3,0) and the slope, m+=+3
The graph is:
