Find the amplitude, if it exists, and the period of: y = tan(1/4ˇq).

There is no "amplitude" for tangent, cotangent, secant, or cosecant 
functions. Only sines and cosines have amplitudes.

But all have periods.

1.  The period of y = Aˇsin(Bx), y = Aˇcos(Bx), y = Aˇsec(Bx), 
    and y = Aˇcsc(Bx) is |2p/B|.

2.  The period of y = Aˇtan(Bx) and  y = Aˇcot(Bx), is |p/B|.

So the period of y = tan(1/4ˇq) is |p/(1/4)| = p÷(1/4) = p×(4/1) = 4p
