Use FOIL (first, outers, inners, lasts) to add the products of the expressions in the brackets.
If you had to multiply (a+b) by (c+d), using FOIL you would get:

so %28a%2B5%29%28a-5%29=a%5E2+-5a+%2B5a+-25
Now a%28a%2B5%29%28a-5%29=a%28a%5E2+-5a+%2B5a+-25%29
