this is pretty tough to interpret.
The way I read it is that 45% of the class passed
the 1st test, and some of that 45% also passed the 2nd test.
The 30% that passed both tests is included within the 45% that
passed the 1st test.
So the problem is asking "30 is what percent of 45?"
+x%2F100+=+30%2F45+
+x+%2F100+=+2%2F3+
+3x+=+200+
+x+=+66.67+
66.67% of those who passed 1st test also passed 2nd test
Some one else might read this differently.
I'd get another opinion, too.
