Starting on one dog, the flea springs back and forth from nose to nose at a speed of 20 feet per second until the dogs collide and flatten him. How far did the flea travel in all? My initial guess was 100ft but then I realized that it would not be possible because the dogs meets at the half-way point of 50ft, so the flea would have to travel once on each dog and began another flight of 5 ft before being flattened. So it would make it 45 ft. I am not sure, nor do i know how what formula to use to get the answer. Could you please help Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source):

They run for 5 seconds (100/20)
The flea moves at 20 feet/sec for 5 seconds
5*20 = 100 feet.
