Hi
Using the vertex form of a parabola, y=a%28x-h%29%5E2+%2Bk where(h,k) is the vertex
f(x)=1/2x^2-6
1) parabola opens upward a = 1/2 > 0 Vertex Pt(0,-6) is a minumum pt
2) Line of symetry is the y -axis
3) relative to the the translation from the origin: down 6.
