Question 440744: I may be in the wrong section, but its been ages since I remember what kind of problem this is called.
(It takes a car 7 minutes driving at 35 miles per hour to get from one location to the next. How many miles did the car drive?)
the way I tried to figrure it out was that one hour is 60 minutes and that if the car was driving at 60 miles per hour, 7 minutes would be 7 miles, so it cant be more than that. but after that, I'm stuck. Answer by ewatrrr(24785) (Show Source):
Hi
Note: Believe "Word Problems: Travel and Distance" would work.
It takes a car 7 minutes driving at 35 miles per hour to get from one location
to the next. How many miles did the car drive?
Note: D = r*t |Great! to recognize the need to convert min to hr
d = (7/60)hr*35mph = 7mi
