How do I solve 2/x - 4/x+1 = 3?

2/x-4/(x+1) = 3
LCD=x(x+1)
multiply each term by the LCD (this gets rid of the fractions)
2(x+1)-4x=3x(x+1)
2x+2-4x=3x^2+3x
combine like terms then equate to zero
3x^2+5x-2=0
factor
(3x-1)(x+2)=0
3x-1=0
x=1/3
x+2=0
x=-2
ans:
x=1/3
x=-2
