Question 439600: Please help me. I am taking a math test that my teacher made us take home.
The perimeter of a triangle is 24 cm. One side is 2 centimeters longer than the shortest side. The longest side is 2 centimeters less than twice the length of the shortest side. Fin the length of each side of the triangle.
If you can please explain how you solved the problem so that next time I can solve it by myself.
Thanks so much!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x=the shortest side
side 2=x+2
side 3=2x-2
Perimeter=x+x+2+2x-2
24=4x
6=x
The shortest side is 6cm., the next side is 8cm., the longest side is 10cm..
