You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given that (3x-a)(x-2)(x-7) = 3x^3-32x^2=81x-70, determine the value of a.
(3x-a)(x^2-9x+14)
3x^3-27x^2+42x-ax^2+9ax-14a
3x^3-(27+a)x^2+(42+9a)x-14a=3x^3-32x^2+81x-70
This says:
-27-a=-32 or a=5
and
42+9a=81 or a=39/9
and -14a=-70 or a=5
There is a contradiction here that I think is the result of your posting.
