Question 43891: how to solve radicals equations involving roots
Answer by fractalier(6550) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! In general, you wish to isolate the radical expression on one side of the equal sign BEFORE squaring both sides...
If there is more than one radical present, isolate the most complicated one...these problems usually involve a second squaring...
Also when you are finished solving, you are obliged to check that the solutions work...sometimes they do and sometimes they don't, but you have to check...
