multiply both sides by (t+5) to get rid of those awkward denominators:
8=%28t-3%29%2B%28%28t%2B5%29%2F3%29
multiply both sides by 3:
24=3%28t-3%29%2B%28t%2B5%29
24=4t-9%2B5
28=4t
t=7
