If you make a the apex to bisect the base then it is the height. It divides the triangle into two 30-60-90 triangles. One of those triangles has a hypotenuse of 8 and a base of 4 and a height of 4sqrt(3). Answer
All 30-60-90 triangles have a ratio of x, xsqrt(3), 2x for the three sides.
