Question 437355: Hi, I need help solving radical equations. I tried one and got nowhere and did a second one and came up to the same thing.
Here is the first on that I didn't understand.
(x^(3/2)-3x^(1/2)=0
And here is the second one.
(x^(1/2)-2x^(1/4)+1=0
Any help would be great. One more question. Do you know of a link to a page where I could read more on these type of radical equations that deal with fractions? Thanks for all your help! Found 2 solutions by Gogonati, solver91311:Answer by Gogonati(855) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! To solve the equation:, add on both sides
and after square both sides the result will be:=>
=> => => , solving the last equation
we find the roots:
x=0 and (x-3)(x+3)=0 => x=-3 and x=3.
Answer: the solution of equation is the set: {-3, 0, 3}.
