1/x + x/2x+4 - 2/x(sq)+2x
(sq=squared Not sure how to type that in)
This is a fraction problem and I think I have the right common denominator but I am not positive. And if it is not the right one, then I need help figuring how to get the right one in order to solve it. My solution for the common denominator is 2x(x+2). If this is right, I am doing something wrong and I am not sure what it is. Please help! Thank you

You can't solve, it's not an equation, you can simplify it:
1%2Fx + x%2F%28%282x%2B4%29%29 - 2%2F%28%28x%5E2%2B2x%29%29
Factor the denominators
1%2Fx + x%2F%282%28x%2B2%29%29 - 2%2F%28x%28x%2B2%29%29
The common denominator is 2x(x+2), so you got that right.

Now you have:
