Question 437256: Sorry this is calculus....I really need help.
Find critical points and inflection points and all local extrema for the given y = x^3/3 – x^2/2 – 2x + 1/3. Then sketch the function.
Thanks in advance!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y = x^3/3 – x^2/2 – 2x + 1/3
------------------
y' = x^2 - x - 2 = 0
Extrema at x = -1 and x = 2
Sub for -1 and 2 to find the points.
---------------
y'' = 2x - 1
Inflection at x = 1/2
