 y+=+%28k%2Fx%29 k being  the constant of proportionality.

If p varies inversely as q and p = -8 when q = 2, find p when q = -4. 

   p = k/q

  -8 = k/2

 -16 = k

   p  = (-16)/-4 = 4 when q = -4
