You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Diagonal of pen = 140
length of side of square = x
by pythagoras theorem
x^2+x^2= 140
2x^2=140
x^2=70
x=+sqrt%2870%29
x= 8.36 m
Area = sqrt%2870%29%2Asqrt%2870%29
Area = 70 sq.m

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x%5E2+%2B+x%5E2+=+140%5E2 by the Pythagorean Theorem
2x%5E2+=+19600
x%5E2+=+9800
x+=+70sqrt%282%29 meters, after taking square-roots.
Area of square pen is A+=+x%5E2+=+9800 square meters.

        The solution in the post by @mananth is  FATALLY  WRONG.
        I came to bring a correct solution.

Diagonal of pen = 140 meters
length of side of square = x
by pythagoras theorem
x^2 + x^2 = 140^2
2x^2 = 140^2
x^2 = 140^2/2
x=+140%2Fsqrt%282%29
x= 98.99494937 m
Area = x^2 = 140^2/2 = 9800
Area = 9800 sq.m

Solved correctly.
