One number is twice another. If the sum of their reciprocals is 1/2, then:

1/x+1/2x=1/2
Multiply all by 2x:
2+1=x
3=x
6=2x

Your numbers are 3 and 6.

2y+2x=xy multiply each side by 2xy
2y+4y=2y^2 substitute 2y for x
