Hi

X^2 - 6X - 27 = 0

(X-3)^2 - 9 - 27 = 0

 (X-3)^2 = 36

  (X-3) = ± 6

    X = 3 ± 6    |X = 3+6 and X = 3-6

   X = 9 and X = -3
