You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/4(8x - 4) > 3x - 1
2x - 1 > 3x - 1 {used distributive property}
2x > 3x {added 1 to both sides}
-x > 0 {subtracted 3x from both sides}
x < 0 {divided both sides by -1, and changed the inequality sign}

Note
- whenever you multiply or divide both sides of an inequality by a
negative number, you have to change the inequality sign
