You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let number be n
n-12 = 5n +4
add -n to both sides
-12= 5n-n +4
-12=4n+4
add -4 to both sides
-12-4=4n
4n=-16
n=-4

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
given:
This is one way to interpret it:
+n+-+12+=+5%2A%28+n+%2B+4+%29+
+n+-+12+=+5n+%2B+20+
+4n+=+-32+
+n+=+-8+
Here's another way:
+n+-+12+=+5n+%2B+4+
++4n+=+-16+
+n+=+-4+
--------------
Could the 2nd way be the answer?
I can't see how to get +n+=+4+ either.
