Question 43103: Determine which two equations represent parallel lines.
(a) y=4x-8 (b) y= -4x +8
(c) y=4x +3 (d) y= -1/4x -8

You can put this solution on YOUR website! If a line is in slope-intercept form, y=mx+b, which these all happen to be in, then the slope is the value for m. Parallel lines have the same slope. So two lines with the same m, which means the same coefficient for x, are parallel. You should be able to pick out those 2 lines.
