2x = 6 - x {substituted 2x, in for y, into top equation}
3x = 6 {added x to both sides}
x = 2 {divided both sides by 3}

y = 2x {bottom original equation}
y = 2(2) {substituted 2, in for x, into 2x}
y = 4 {multiplied 2 by 2}

x = 2 and y = 4
these two lines would intersect at (2,4)
