Hello,
We can set up a proportion. We know that complimentary angles equal 90 degrees so,let x be one angle and 90-x be the other angle.
3/5 = x/(90-x)
Now let's solve this by cross multiplying to get:
5x=270-3x
Add 3x to both sides:
8x=270
Divide by 8 to get:
x=33.75 degrees
We now know the other angle is:
65.25 degrees
Make sense?
