You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How would I solved this?
Find the surface area of a small juice can whose diameter is 2 inches and whose height is 3.75 inches.
----
Area of the can = top + bottom + side
---
top and bottom have the same area:
top = (pi)r^2 = (pi)1^2 = pi sq. in
----
side = (circumference*height) = 2(pi)rh = 2(pi)1*3.75 = 7.5(pi) sq. in.
---
Total area = 2(pi)+7.5(pi) = 9.5(pi)sq.in.
