You wouldn't. I wouldn't. Nobody would. You can't "solve" something that doesn't have an equals (or inequality) sign. Now if you really meant how do you factor it, that I could answer. Too bad that isn't the question you asked.

Use the Quadratic Function:
---
x = [18 +- sqrt(18^2-4*9*8)]/18
---
x = [18 +- sqrt(36)]/18
---
