Question 428892: Good day,
I am doing functions, and i'm trying to get the grasp of how to solve these problems but, i just can't get it. The problem that I have is f(x)= x^2+1 and g(x)=x-2. Determine the following:
1. %28f-g%29%283%29
I tried solving the following using this method
step 1. f(x)=(x^2+1)-x-2(3)
step 2. f(x)= x^2+1-x-6
step 3. f(x)= x^2-5-x
step 4. x^2-x-5
I just cant quite get it.
Thanks in advance!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

It looks like you are trying to do TIMES . (Which you didn't do correctly anyway because you didn't distribute the multiplication)

No.

You want EVALUATED AT .
