in a right triangle, if the measures of the legs are 5 in and 12 in, find the measure of the hypotenuse
.
apply the pythagorean theorem to get:
Let h = hypotenuse
then
h^2 = 5^2 + 12^2
h^2 = 25 + 144
h^2 = 169
h = 13 inches

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

the legs are a=5+in and b=12+in,
find the measure of the hypotenuse c

c%5E2=a%5E2%2Bb%5E2

c%5E2=%285in%29%5E2%2B%2812in%29%5E2

c%5E2=25in%5E2%2B144in%5E2

c%5E2=169in%5E2

c=sqrt%28169in%5E2%29

c=+13in
