I understand that now but I don't know how the check should look.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! check this division problem
its long division (x^3+2x^2+3x-6)/(x-1)= x^2+3x+6
---
How would you check 6/2 = 3 ?
You would multiply 2*3 to see if you get 6.
----
Similarly, to check you problem, multiply (x-1)(x^2+3x+6)
to see if you get x^3+2x^2+3x-6.
