You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3- [(a-6)/(a+5)]= (a^2-14)/a+5
***NOTE: I put the parentheses for easy to look*****
Multiply both sides by the LCD which is (a+ 5)
3(a+5) - (a -6) = a^2 -14
3a +15 - a + 6 = a^2 - 14
a^2 - 2a - 35 =0
(a -7)(a + 5) = 0
a-7 =0 or a + 5 = 0
a = 7 or a = -5
Since a = -5 makes the LCD to be zero, it is NOT a solution.
so the only solution is 7.
