You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There are a total of 50 cows and chickens on a farm. These animals have 124 legs in all. How many more chickens than cows are there?

124 legs is 62 pairs of legs. Every animal has a pair of front legs,
so 50 of the 62 pairs of legs are pairs of front legs, so the remaining
12 pairs of legs are pairs of hind legs, which belong only to the cows.
Therefore there are 12 cows and 50-12 or 38 chickens.

Since the question asks "How many more chickens than cows
are there?", the answer is 38 - 12 or 26.
