Question 427206: have a problem and of course it's like always one number holding me up. It's a long problem but I'm going to send an example then what my problem is if you could tell me where that number is coming from. Example problem is k=Wd^2=(189)(4000)^2=3.024x10^9 step 2 =3.024x10^9/(4550)2 step 3 =146.1. I'm not sure where the 3.024 is coming from. My problem now is k=wd^2=(181)(4000)^2=????x10^9 I'm stuck please help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
189*16 = 3024
---------------
k=Wd^2=(189)(4000)^2 = 3.024x10^9 step 2 =3.024x10^9/(4550)2 step 3 =146.1
I don't know where you got the 4550, or what (4550)2 means.
I don't know what you're trying to do here.
----------------
181%2A4000%5E2
= 181*16E6
= 2896E6 = 2.896E9
= 2.896%2A10%5E9
------------------
k=Wd^2=(189)(4000)^2 = 189*(4E3)^2 = 189*16E6
= 3024E6
= 3.024E9 or 3.024%2A10%5E9
