You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solution:First we find the slope of 7x-10y=18 => -10y=18-7x => y=%287%2F10%29%2Ax-%2818%2F10%29
From the last equation we see the slope is m%5B1%5D=7%2F10. As we know the perpendicular lines have negative reciprocal slopes, thus the slope of our line is m%5B2%5D=-10%2F7, and the equation of our line that passes at (14,-2) is given:
y%2B2=%28-10%2F7%29%2A%28x-14%29, simplify this equation:
7y+14=-10x+140 => 7y=-10x+126 => y=%28-10%2F7%29x%2B126
Answer: The slope-intercept equation is: y=%28-10%2F7%29%2Ax%2B126
