Assume we are dealing in integers here,
Find the least common multiple of 1/6, 1/7, 1/12, and we have the man's age
That would be 84 was the man's age

"His son died 4 years before the father at 1/2 his age. What age was the son when he died?"
The son died when his dad was 80, if he was half his age then, son died at 40,
or the son died at 42 if they mean he died at his dad's final age. It's not quite clear about that.
