 left and right translation impacts the x-value in the (x,y) coordinate pair.
 
 reflection about the x-axis would reverse the sign of the y-value in the (x,y) coordinate pair.
 
 reflection about the y-axis would reverse the sign of the x-value in the (x,y) coordinate pair.
