Question 42690: What values are excluded from the domain of the of this function => f(x)= 1/(x-1)? Thanks! Found 2 solutions by rapaljer, Nate:Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Denominators must NEVER equal zero! Therefore, x cannot equal 1. The value of x=1 must be excluded from the domain.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Anything divided by zero is undefined.
Look at the denominator. (x - 1) can not equal zero.
x - 1 = 0
x = 1 is excluded from your domain
