Question 426067: If you forget the phone number and you dial a 7 digit number at random what is the probability that would get the number correct in one attempt? I know (or I think know) that each number is dependent of the previous number/numbers being correct and that is a 1/10 chance for each number but I am stuck at this point.
Thanks for your help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! If you forget the phone number and you dial a 7 digit number at random what is the probability that would get the number correct in one attempt? I know (or I think know) that each number is dependent of the previous number/numbers being correct and that is a 1/10 chance for each number but I am stuck at this point.
-----------------
# of correct numbers: 1
# of possible numbers: 10^7
----
P(get number correct) = 1/10^7 = 1/10,000,000
