Question 425946: FIND THE SLOPE:
I can't draw the slope because I don't know how to put it on here but imagine a graph with (-7,2) on the left top side and (9,6) in the right top portion of the graph. It's asking me to "find the slope" & I don't know how to do this.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME....it's on my final test. Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
From (9,6) draw a line 2 units vertically downwards.
then from this point , draw a horizontal line to meet the the line at (1,4) .
measure y = 2 units
measure x = 8 units
y/x = 2/8 = 1/4 = slope
since the line is rising towards the right the slope is positive.
so slope = +1/4
